The premiere of the collection took place near Reytarska Circle, an iconic modernist building that was renovated in 2021. Later it became an good example of rethinking Kyiv's architectural heritage. image_2 The Reytarska Circle building is a part of the Polyclinic complex of the Union of Writers, built-in 1986 according to the project architects Avraham Miletskyi and Volodymyr Shevchenko. In 2008, it was retrofitted as a spa salon, and in 2020, it returned to the minimalist architecture designed by Emil Dervish and became home to several restaurants. In 2024, there is a plan to renovate the main building of the polyclinic. image_3 The Renovation Map's team guided a tour of the abandoned houses that became the collection's stars and released a guidebook for this route. To order a guide, reach us by email: map.future.renovation@gmail.com image_4 The shorts in the collection are created using upcycling technology. The collaboration's designers shared the idea of reusing both clothes and abandoned buildings. This collection is about a responsible attitude toward our environment and the city's history.
